Still No Plea In Criminal Case Against City Cop

Allegations of attempting to obstruct justice against a city police officer continues without a plea as the indictable offence nears the 10-month mark.

MHPS Const. Noel Darr, 57, was charged by Edmonton police in July 2025 for attempting to, “dissuade witnesses by  threats, bribes or other corrupt means from giving evidence,” according to court documents.

Those allegations stem from incidents which occurred between February 2022 and November 2023, states the sworn information filed with the Medicine Hat courts.

The court heard Thursday, as it did during the previous appearance, the matter is becoming dated and requires steps to be taken.

The next court appearance is scheduled for May 7.
