A city cop facing allegations involving witness tampering continues in the court without a plea to the indictable offence which carries an up to 10-year jail sentence.

MHPS Const. Noel Darr, 57, was charged in July 2025 by Edmonton police with attempting to obstruct justice for offences which occurred between February 2022 and November 2023, according to court documents.

Those charges stem from allegations Darr attempted to obstruct justice by dissuading witnesses by threats, bribes or other corrupt means from providing evidence.

Darr’s next court appearance is scheduled for May 20 at Medicine Hat Court of Justice.
