The Timeline
Wednesday August 20 2025 - Allard published a post on her personal campaign website.
Tuesday August 26 2025 - She received a cease and desist letter from a lawyer representing a prominent person in town.
This is an excerpt from the letter.
The Post is a scurrilous attack on X’s reputation and integrity. It is defamatory, unbecoming of an individual seeking public office, and entirely unacceptable. We hereby demand you immediately retract the Post, publicly apologize for your unwarranted attack on X’s character and reputation, and thereafter cease and desist from making any further defamatory statements regarding X….
If the post is not retracted or before August 27, 2025, at 12:00 PM, our instructions are to file a suit against you and prosecute it to the fullest extent of the law.
Wednesday August 27 2025 - She did not respond by the deadline.
She did not retract the post.
She did not apologize.
Tuesday September 2 2025 - the complaint about her website was sent to the city at 2:42pm. That same day, her campaign links were removed.
Wednesday September 3 2025 - All campaign links were removed.
