McBride’s held a fundraiser to help the family of the young boy who tragically drowned at Echo Dale Park…The community was heartbroken by the news, and McBride’s wanted to do something to help.

The swim lake at Echo Dale Regional Park will remain closed for now. The park itself reopens on Friday, June 19 at 7 a.m., but the swim lake will be drained and stay closed until further notice.

All City aquatic facilities, with the exception of Echo Dale Regional Park, have now resumed operations. City operated pools had been temporarily closed to allow staff to connect with supports and resources following the tragic incident at Echo Dale Regional Park.
